The Gasnam Innovation Awards aim to recognise, encourage and raise the profile of the most outstanding initiatives in sustainability and decarbonisation in the energy and transport sectors. Through this recognition, the aim is to encourage innovation by rewarding pioneering technologies, strategies and solutions that make a difference in the transition towards cleaner and more efficient transport.
In its fourth edition, these awards reinforce its commitment to research, development and implementation of sustainable mobility models, promoting an active community committed to climate neutrality. These awards promote collaboration between key players in the sector and recognise the efforts of those who are leading the way towards a more responsible and sustainable energy future.
Categories
Prize for the promotion of biomethane in the Iberian Peninsula
This award recognises both innovative biomethane production projects and those companies or initiatives that have contributed significantly to its promotion, development and implementation in the Iberian Peninsula. The environmental impact, the innovation of the business model and the capacity to generate a real change in the energy transition, as well as its positive impact on the economy and society, will be valued. Both operational projects and those at an advanced stage of implementation that are opening up new paths for the development of biomethane as a key vector for more sustainable mobility will be eligible for the award.
Prize for the promotion of hydrogen in the Iberian Peninsula
Recognition will be given both to innovative renewable hydrogen production projects and their derivatives and to those companies or initiatives that have made a decisive contribution to their promotion, development and implementation in the Iberian Peninsula. Special value will be placed on technological innovation, scalability, impact on the energy transition of transport and the role of the project or initiative in the consolidation of hydrogen as a key alternative for decarbonisation. Both operational projects and those at an advanced stage of implementation that are pioneering in this field will be eligible for the award.
Award for the best business initiative for the promotion of sustainable mobility
This award honours the company that has developed an outstanding initiative to promote the use of renewable fuels and sustainable technologies in mobility, whether through projects, business models or awareness and adoption strategies.
Award for innovation in sustainable mobility with renewable gases
This award recognises the most innovative project, technology or solution that has marked a significant advance in the integration of biomethane or renewable hydrogen in land or maritime transport. Its capacity to improve the efficiency, viability and competitiveness of these sustainable fuels is valued, as well as its impact on the decarbonisation of the sector, the optimisation of infrastructures and the creation of new business models that accelerate the transition towards cleaner and more sustainable mobility.
Award for boosting the decarbonisation of maritime transport
This award recognises the most outstanding initiative in the reduction of emissions in the maritime sector, rewarding the use of alternative fuels, innovative technologies or disruptive strategies that accelerate the transition towards a more sustainable maritime transport. It values the impact of the initiative on improving energy efficiency, reducing the carbon footprint and developing scalable solutions that promote the adoption of clean energy in shipping and port logistics.
New fuels bunkering infrastructure leadership of the year award
This award honours the company, institution or project that has played a key role in the development and promotion of bunkering infrastructures for new fuels in the Iberian Peninsula. It recognises leadership and commitment in the implementation of these facilities, facilitating the adoption and availability of alternative fuels for maritime transport and contributing to the decarbonisation of the sector.
Award for outstanding professional in the decarbonisation of transport and the promotion of renewable gases
This award recognises the professional whose career has been decisive in driving the decarbonisation of transport and the promotion of renewable gases as a key energy vector. Leadership, strategic vision and impact in the technical, regulatory or industrial field, as well as in the communication, dissemination or institutional promotion of innovative solutions will be valued. This category is open to diverse profiles that, from different areas of action, have made a relevant contribution to the advancement of biomethane, renewable hydrogen or other sustainable fuels in mobility.
Conditions for participation
Candidates
Nominations are open to both natural and legal persons who have distinguished themselves in the field of renewable gases and sustainable mobility. Both self-nominations and nominations from third parties are accepted, thus allowing any person, company, institution or project that deserves recognition to be eligible for the awards in the different categories.
Geographical scope
Candidates must have performed on the Iberian Peninsula and/or be based in Spain, except for those categories that provide otherwise.
Time scope
The submitted initiative should have been announced as of January 2023.
To be taken into account
- A project can only be submitted to one category. If the same initiative is submitted to more than one category, the Green Gas Mobility Summit 2025 Technical Committee will eliminate the nomination that it considers to be less in line with its definition.
- Initiatives that won in previous editions of the Gasnam Innovation Awards are not eligible.

Submission of applications
Applications will have to provide the following information:
- Organisation(s) responsible for the initiative
- Category in which you wish to participate
- Website or url with information about the initiative
- Description of the initiative/company applying for the competition and its relevance to the category for which it is applying (between 100 and 200 words).
- Contact details (name and surname, company, position, e-mail and telephone number)
Sending
All submissions will be made exclusively through our registration form. Proposals sent by any other means will not be accepted.
Format
Popular vote
The award winners will be chosen through the votes of individuals who submit their vote through the form provided on the Green Gas Mobility Summit website.
Only one vote per person will be counted.
Timeline
Submission of applications
From 19 March to 13 April.
Popular vote
Popular vote to select the winning initiative: from 8 May to 1 June.
In the event that a category does not receive enough nominations to trigger the popular vote, the Green Gas Mobility Summit Technical Committee will proceed to select the winner.
Announcement and award ceremony
Winners announcement and awards ceremony will take place on 25 June during the Green Gas Mobility Summit 2025 cocktail party.
