H2PORTS, the project that aims to drive the transition of the European port industry towards a zero emissions model, has been awarded as “Best innovation project in the renewable gas value chain”. This award, promoted by Gasnam-Neutral Transport in the framework of Green Gas Mobility Summit 2023, seeks to recognize those most transformative and disruptive initiatives related to the value chain of new renewable and synthetic gaseous fuels. This edition has received nearly 20 applications for innovative projects, of which only eleven have passed the final stage and have been subjected to a close popular vote through the digital channels of the congress. H2PORTS, at the forefront of decarbonisation of ports
The H2PORTS (Implementation Fuel Cells and Hydrogen Technologies in Ports) project, funded by the Clean Hydrogen Joint Undertaking and coordinated by the Valenciaport Foundation, analyses new fuel cell technologies aimed at increasing energy efficiency, decarbonisation and port terminal safety. The initiative involves the Port Authority of Valencia, CNH2 – National Hydrogen Center, and private companies MSC Terminal Valencia S.A.U, Grimaldi Group, Hyster-Yale Group, Atena scarl – Distretto Alta tecnologia Energia Ambiente, Carbides Métalliques, Ballard Power Systems and Enagás.
