These awards, which were presented last night in Madrid, seek to recognise, encourage and give visibility to the most outstanding initiatives that promote sustainability and decarbonisation of the energy and transport sectors.

Green Gas Mobility Summit rewards innovationand commitment to decarbonisation ‘Gasnam Innovation Awards’

  • Axpo Iberia, Dhamma Blue, Enagás, Enagás GTS, Carreras Grupo Logístico, Moeve, Repsol, Scale Green Energy and Zoilo Ríos SA, as well as de Buenaventura Gómez, have been awarded in the seven categories recognised by the sustainable transport congress.
  • In addition, two special recognitions were awarded: one to Aena, for its commitment to the integration of biomethane as a key vector in the decarbonisation of its airport infrastructures; and the other to Benito Núñez, Secretary General of Air and Maritime Transport, for his key role in promoting public policies aimed at cleaner and more sustainable mobility.
  • These awards, which were presented last night in Madrid, seek to recognise, encourage and give visibility to the most outstanding initiatives that promote sustainability and decarbonisation of the energy and transport sectors.

 

Within the framework of the Green Gas Mobility Summit 2025, which is being held until today at La Nave (Madrid), the technology platform Gasnam last night presented the awards corresponding to the 4th edition of the ‘Innovation Awards Gasnam’, which recognise the talent, innovation and real impact of the projects that are accelerating the energy transition and the decarbonisation of transport in the Iberian Peninsula. The winners of this 4th edition were:

  • Award for the Promotion of biomethane in the Iberian Peninsula to Enagás GTS for developing a strategic tool in the promotion of biomethane in our country: the system of guarantees of origin, an initiative that reinforces the traceability, transparency and value of this renewable gas in the market. The award was collected by Enagás GTS CEO María Junco, accompanied by the company’s Guarantees of Origin team: Sergio García, Inés Melchor and Cecilia Pérez.
  • Prize for the Promotion of Hydrogen in the Iberian Peninsula went to Moeve, for the development of the Andalusian Green Hydrogen Valley, an industrial ecosystem that lays the foundations for the large-scale production and use of renewable hydrogen, promoting reindustrialisation and the energy transition in the south of Spain. The award was collected by Carlos Barrasa, Vice President of Commercial & Clean Energies Moeve.
  • Award for the best business initiative for the promotion of sustainable mobility to Repsol, Carreras Grupo Logístico and Zoilo Ríos SA, for a pioneering hydrogen hybrid truck for long distance distribution, which demonstrates the potential of business collaboration to accelerate the decarbonisation of heavy transport. The award was collected by the Hydrogen Mobility team of Repsol (Ignacio Alonso, Marta Bielza and Ana Nieto); the director of Projects, Consultancy, Sustainability and Innovation of Carreras Grupo Logístico, Héctor Benito, and the general manager of Zoilo Ríos SA, Zoilo Ríos.
  • Prize for innovation in sustainable mobility with renewable gases to Dhamma Blue, for developing the first recreational boat powered by green hydrogen designed and built entirely in Spain. A visionary initiative that opens new paths for a more sustainable nautical. The award was collected by the co-founders of Dhamma Blue, Philippe Esposito and Robin Imaz.
  • Award for boosting the decarbonisation of maritime transport to Axpo Iberia, for its leadership in the development of LNG bunkering solutions, including the first Ship-to-Ship bunkering on SimOps in Spain, a technical milestone of great strategic value for the maritime sector. The award was collected by the Director of Gas and LNG of Axpo Iberia, Antonio Canseco, and Andrea Hernández, Bunker Technical – License manager.
  • Award for leadership of the year in bunkering infrastructure for new fuels to Enagás and Scale Green Energy, for their joint promotion of the development of bunkering infrastructure for new fuels, such as bio-LNG, facilitating the energy transition of maritime transport from the operational base. The award was collected at by Enagás’ Commercial Logistics Director, Mary Paz Adán, and by Scale Green Energy’s Manager, Álvaro Delicado.
  • Award for outstanding professional in the decarbonisation of transport to Buenaventura Gómez, Director of the Biomethane Development Unit in Spain at ID Energy Group, for his exemplary career in promoting projects that integrate sustainability, innovation and territorial value, making a decisive contribution to the deployment of biomethane in our country . The award was collected by Buenaventura Gómez himself at.

 

In addition, in this edition, two special awards were presented to;

  • Award for the promotion of decarbonisation in the airport sector to Aena, for its firm commitment to the integration of sustainable energy solutions, such as biomethane, in its facilities, becoming a benchmark in the decarbonisation of the airport sector. The award was collected by its Director of Innovation, Sustainability and Customer Experience, Amparo Brea.
  • Recognition for Institutional Support for the Decarbonisation of Maritime and Air Transport to Benito Núñez, Secretary General of Air and Maritime Transport of the Ministry of Transport and Sustainable Mobility, for his key role in promoting public policies that promote cleaner, innovative mobility aligned with the European climate objectives. The award was collected by Benito Núñez himself.
